Phil,

Check this out on eBay. This is what you need to drive an LCD display over
a
long distance using a PC. This has a Digital Flat Panel interface (LVDS)
built in. Needs a DFP receiver at the LCD end but you can get these.

Check the other auctions of this seller as he has a few of these. I have a
PCI version for my HA computer as it also has a video out at 800x600.
