Please note that this is yet another one of those "double
entendre" messages
that neither myself or Paul "Owen" Gordon has had anything to do
with
therefore we formally request that our joint status as "Head Group
Gutterfish" be recinded...

....by the way. Owen's been very quiet since his brush with stardom!

Oh yeah ... I had a call from BT on Saturday telling me that they were
putting up my line rental by 51p per month and asking whether there was
anything that they could do to make me a happier customer ... I did suggest
that they could charge me an extra fiver and allow me to upgrade my
"Surftime" that comes bundled with my ISDN line to
"Anytime" and he went off
to see if they could. He came back and appologised that he couldn't as it
wasn't their side of the service but he did mention that they'd been coming
in for some bad publicity from the media recently and that they were very
keen to try to overcome it. He mentioned the Watchdog program from the
other
week and said that they'd all been told to try to give customers the
"warm
fuzzies" (as my old boss used to call it). We discussed the program
for a
couple of minutes until I mentioned that one of the people on it was a mate
.... at which point he went very quiet, mumbled an appology and said that
he'd been talking with me too long and his supervisor wanted him to get
onto
another call!
