Aha, I'm getting somewhere! I have changed the baud to 1200 and now when I
dial out it displays on-line and then displays the numbers! but when I dial
in all that is displayed is off-line.

So half of it is working!

Any further ideas?

Going out soon to move a Macaw cage!! joys of having a van! so if I am slow
replying that is why.
