I try to open term and it will not connect to comm.1 as the Meteor is using
it, makes sense, so I close Meteor and the lights go off but hyperterm
starts, also makes sense.

Then the Meteor has the red LED on and when I dial nothing shows on the
term
but the LED's flash as expected.

Do I not have to type something in term to get it to "echo" to
the screen?

BTW as I dial out that is shown on the Meteor software.
