No ... I have a few of those but they seem to need the 5v rail loaded too
before they'll settle down ... plus of course they're bloody huge things
that won't fit in a 1 or 2U high case! (And they have damn noisy fans!)
I was going to use an AT PSU at one point but it was just too much hassle
.... then I spotted these SCSI RAID enclosures that are kicking about in
the
back of a cupboard. I have long since thrown out the SCSI RAID controllers
(two metal towers, one the size of a full tower PC case and the other the
same height but three times the width which took 6 and 18 drives
respectively). All the actual drives have long since gone elsewhere - they
were only 9Gb drives at most so nothing exciting - but I was hanging on to
the cases. They have the PSU's, IEC mains inputs, power switches, 40mm case
fans etc and so would be ideal!
