When a friend of mine was renovating his cottage, he was continually
plagued by passers-by stopping, and sticking their noses up against the
window to look inside. This was most annoying during the evenings.

The annoyance rate fell off somewhat when a proximity detector was set
up to turn on a red light in the house, and start playing an audio track
which was a looped voice saying "Intruder detected - moving house
systems to defensive mode" :-)

Though they are going to be the most alarmed and secure properties on
the
block. Average Jo doesn't have a house that phones him when he's out
and
captures the individual on video.

Taking this one step further can you be arrested for gassing someone,
obviously not in a permanent sense just a knock out for a couple of
hours
way. Scenario, thief walks into Node0 when alarm is sounding, door
locks
behind them and room fills with gas.

Erm... Why would anyone want a list of names and addresses of people
whose houses were likely to be full of expensive electrical
equipment???? Hmmmm ????

Yeah...exactly Phil...it's no different to the Rogues page...general
areas...not Addresses.
However, with someones name, area and 192.com it's pretty easy to find
the
address.

Even if we do password protect it though, what's to stop someone with
bad
intentions joining the group..then getting the password?

That's what I meant by a UKHA members area...

....and remember we're not looking at putting up peoples addresses, just
their area ... if we're travelling that way then we can make contact via
the
group and then make arrangements by private email.

I think it might be better to have a page that requires a password to
access
it, it might not be such a good idea to have this information on a
normal
html page. If you like I can put up a protected page on my server today
and
then you can put the link on your site. Alternatively you could get a
page
built on your server that works in the same way as the news submission
page
that you have added recently.

Sure...not a problem.

Can someone do up an HTML page and email it to me.

Thanks

This info definitely needs to go up on Marks site ... maybe in a UKHA
members area so not everyone sees it ... but it would be nice to plan
routes
and arrange to meet up with fellow members at the same time.
