This might sound kinda obvious but the couple of times I used an angle
grinder at my old place to cut channels for cabling we built a small
enclosure from a couple of kingsize quilt covers that reached the ceiling
and went down to the floor - kinda like a shower curtain.

Minimal spillage out into the room...
