Barclaycard do an extended warranty on certain goods bought through
them. Seems to be 12 months for normal + gold and 24 for platinum,
although website isn't as clear as it could be.

Unfortunately no use to me, as although I earn a decent wage, my ex wife
screwed my credit rating royally... :-( Credit card companies have
messages like "Bring men with guns" come up on their screen if I
even
think about applying for one!

Hi all,

This is completely OT, but you're a cosmopolitan lot.

While I was in Canada, I was staying with a friend. His Credit Card
company gave him all kinds of benefits like - they would automatically
DOUBLE the standard warranty of anything purchased with the card.

Do any of the UK companies do anything similar. I almost certainly
qualify for a "real" Gold Card on most banks' schemes ;-)

Regards,

Mark
