This is most unusual, but I actually have a bit of praise for BT! As some
of
you will remember, I had a shocking bill after leaving my router set with a
pay-as-you-go number for 3 months (during which time I was paying for a
free
number). It was entirely my fault and I paid the bill. However I wrote BT a
letter saying that I had made the mistake and that I wasn't blaming them,
but didn't they think that a call to me would have been in order to check
on
the sudden dramatic increase in usage. I heard nothing for three months,
then out of the blue this week I got a phone call and a letter, an extract
is as follows:
"I am prepared on this occasion to reduce your account by ?266.44 +
VAT as a
gesture of goodwill. This has been credited against your next bill."
This equates to 25% back, not bad for writing a letter saying that I have
been stupid and please feel sorry for me!
Regards
Graham
