I thought the same before I got mine. But now I just could not manage without it. If I could only get it to do a wireless sync I would be over the moon.

I have two laptops (the Sony VAIO PCG-C1F and the Compaq M300) which fit my needs just great ... although I do like the iPaq I don't think I could actually find a valid use for one. Don't know why Jo wants one as all she wants is an electronic address book (which I could get her for maybe £60 from Argos) but maybe she's been taking lessons from me and just wants one because it's cool.
