A chap called
Sam
at my end got the Maxim bits (blagged free samples) to do
RS232->IrDA
today and will be abusing our surface mount rework gear to make a
prototype today. He'll then try controlling the Pace box via RS232 and
see
how well this works. If it's OK he'll tie an AVR to the RS232 so when
it
receives RC5 commands (or anything else he chooses) he can blib out
IrDA.
Early days.
