No routers yet. ADSL is a no-go for me, so my best choice is
Satellite Internet access which I can have in Spring, so thats when
i'll add a combined router/wireless access.
the 42u rack is just for servers and associated goodies.
The other rack is just for patching etc.
I am planning on another 18U rack to go below the other one for the
ipHomenet equipment (and 200disc DVD etc), as I'm not paying the
prices that they ask for their own racking. I have a friend who will
modify some brackets to seat the smaller width homenet equipment.
Looks like 10 or 12 inches in width, rather than the standard 19".
Now i've got it all setup, just got to find a good excuse for it.
Actually it runs the network not just across my house (4 bed
detached), but my next door neighbour also, who has 3 machines.
I must get round to installing Quake for us. lol.
Cheers
Geraint.
