All you need to do is preview the message, you don't even have to open it.

 

Please don't assume that you were not infected! If you use outlook/outlookexpress, and you don't have all the latest patches, you are infected.

 

If you have the correct patches installed, you should get a file save/open dialogue when previewing the message.
