So what you're looking for then is an ePods screen saver?
 
That way the screen saver would disappear when you tap the screen and the TS session would remain live...

Yep...I think that's the biggest problem with the Epod,  It is annoying the way this also ends your TS session.
The screen-tap switch-on is the biggest problem for me
