Mark, I believe the Matrox G550 card comes with some head modelling
software
designed to allow you to make your own head into precisely this sort of
agent... - you scan in a couple of photographs of your head from a couple
of
different angles, the software then converts that into a 3d model of your
head, which you can then control....

Could be worth a look....
