I keep turning off the firewall on the connection (after Windows asks me
again whether I *really* want to turn it off) and XP turns it back on
again as soon as I close the dialogue box.

I'm afraid that as much as I do like XP on my desktop machine then for
the laptop it's looking like Win2k is gonna come back!
