I want to set a w2k server as a local domain controler, no problem
all works ok, now i want to add the dsl router, its got dhcp which i
will use.

My question is this since my router will issue the dns numbers, how
will my local pc's find each other (sql2000 server) ? clearly any
request for a local host will get looked up on a isp's dns server
which will not find a result.

Should i switch off the dhcp on the router and switch it on the
server, with dns and put that as dns1 and put the isp's dns as dns2,
would that work ?

whats the normal setup

John
