We are hoping that new stock would be available within a week or two. The
Canadian manufacturer ran out of them when we placed the first order and
it was nearly two months before the stock arrived. I hope that they have
lots of the creatures now. You may try ordering direct from their website.

Unfortunately not. The batteries is proving the most expensive part of
owning these rovers. Two 3V lithium batteries (6V in total) are required
for the rover itself and one 9V PP3 for the transmitter. Currys is selling
a set of two 3V lithium batteries for =A39.95! The rover manual states 100+
minutes for continuous use. Our "test" rovers have been used on
and off
throughout the weekend and is still going strong.

Although it doesn't look nice, a 4-AAA battery holder may be straped on
top for standard AAA alkaline or rechargeable batteries.
