I have always been a bit kinky for tracked things!
 
I had an airfix model tank when I was young, it had individual segments in both tracks and was remote controlled with 2 forward and 2 reverse speeds but it ate batteries so, not understanding volts/amps etc at that age, I connected it up to a car battery via a thin wire and was very surprised when the cable caught fire and melted!
 
Great fun though.
