Mine is a split aircon.

They recycle the AIR within the room. The heat extracted from the air is
fed
through pipes in the form of coolant to the heat exchanger outside. They
use
the air that is in the room that the main unit is in, which in your case
would be an extremely hot loft.

Is this the same deal though with the split air-con units.

I thought that they pull the air from the outside and then the
ducting would feed straight into the bedroom with no inlet or outlet
occuring in the loft as such ?

What do you think ?
