I have my split aircon in the bedroom and was considering adding some
removeable ducting so that it could cool the lounge during the day.

The one potential problem that I could forsee was that the temperature
sensor would be pulling air in from the bedroom which would be warm as the
cool air would be ducted to the lounge. This would make it run continuously
and freeze your bits off in the lounge. You could add a second duct so that
the air intake would come from the room being cooled.

The one thing you would loose would be the airwave feature to distribute
the
air round the room. For my lounge idea this wouldnt be a problem as I have
an oscillating fan directly below where the air would be pushed into the
room.

As an aside.... during the last week we have run the AC in reverse as a
heater to take the chill off the bedroom. It is BRILLIANT. Much quicker
than
the gas fire in the bedroom.

Guys,

I'm just planning the work for our Master Bedroom.
Involves quite a lot of plastering etc, so everything has to go in
one time only.

After the hot weather we are getting each year now etc. I'm thinking
of adding air con to the room.

What I wanted to know is :-

Is it possible for me to put a split air con unit in the loft above
the master bedroom, and then pipe feed the cold air into ceiling
vents ?

This way I get rid of the unsightly looking unit, and just benefit
>from

Any thoughts on this ?

Cheers
Geraint.
