Mark,
That is what I feared. I came down on people with a big fat stick and set
the max mailbox size to 5Mb!
Back to what you had in mind....
Create some client rules to move the mailing list data into the correct
folder in your .pst file. (Make sure that you also select "stop
processing
more rules" ) for example:-
"Apply this rule after the message arrives
with [UKHA_D] in the subject
move it to the UKHA_D folder
and stop processing more rules"
As a client rule this should auto-fire only when you are connected and not
fire the duplicate Server based rule that follows.
Create a folder called BigFatDump in your Exchange Mailbox (or whatever)
and
have the Server based rules dump all of your mailing list mail in there
(Make sure that the server rules come after your client rules in rules
wizard). For example:-
"Apply this rule after the message arrives
with [UKHA_D] in the subject
move it to the BigFatDump folder
and stop processing more rules"
So, when you are connected your mail should be sorted and stored in your
..pst file as you want. When not connected, the client rule cannot run so
the server rule takes over and dumps it in the BigFatDump folder out of the
way.
Then, when you next connect to your network:
go to Rules Wizard
Click the "Run Now" button
Select the client rules that you want to fire off
Click on the Browse button
select the "BigFatDump" folder
Click OK
Click Run Now
With a little luck all of your mailing list mail, temporarily stored in the
BigFatDump folder should be moved into the correct folders in your .pst
file.
Does that make sense?
Regards,
Jon
