I think the actual password is still right, though DUN does that to mask the password from, tools like snadboys password revealer,
with snadboys password revealer when you put across over the stared password they apear in the program as real text, butif the stars are scrammbled once entered, then snadbpys revealer will be pf npo use. gedit?

PS that'll be all wrong if when you dial up withthe long password in, it says wrong password.

I have a dialup account set up which I'm using now whilst roaming and it defaults to some password which is nothing like my actual password (it's about three times longer than it should be) - anyone know how I can get it to save my real password?
 
I've tried creating a new connection but it just does the same!
