(I did not get any help on the home cinema group with this question=20
and though that you guys might have a better idea as you are used to=20
linking all sorts of odd bits of gear together. Any help appreciated.)

My Dad has a hearing aid induction loop in in living room driven by=20
an old box that has two microphone inputs and an old style 5 pin din=20
socket with just pins 3 & 5 used plus ground on pin 2. Up to now, he=20
has had a small microphone on a velcro pad next to the mono TV's=20
speaker.

He has just changed his TV to a widescreen pro-login set. It is=20
impractical to use the microphone on this.

He therefore needs a cable wiring up with a din plug at one end and a=20
SCART plug with audio out wired up at the other end.=20

(The set does not have RCA presentation of the multiplexed L&R=20
channels, but offers discrete RCA outputs of the post pro-logic=20
processing channels. Although speech tends to be on the centre=20
channel, I still think he would be best getting a mono version of the=20
original full stereo image on the induction loop. Hence the need for=20
a scart plug.

As an alternative, the TV has a 3.5mm headphone socket and a seperate=20
volume setting for this socket. I obviously can not connect this=20
directly into the 3.5mm microphone socket because of impedence=20
differences. Also, the flap at the front of the tv has to be open to=20
using the headphone socket which his wife is not that keen on.)

As Din plugs are not that common theses days, and given that I am no=20
goog with a soldering iron, any suggestions on where I can get a=20
cable made up?

Stuart

(Since I first posted this on hc, Keene have said that they can make=20
up the cable for =A326! If only I could use a soldering iron properly!!)
