Answering my own question
but I found XP drivers for the Mermaid Graphics card from
http://www.driverguide.com/
what a brilliant site
all the distributers said it wasn't possible as did the manufacture
I can now keep my smart black flat screen monitor a few more months!!!

Off chance really
Did anybody else buy the above monitor from PC world
Smart looking black /glass screen
with digital connection (funny thin connector supplies signal and power)
the adapter board has a PSU connector to drive the flat screen
I've put XP on the new machine and I cant get proper drivers for the thing
ad the manufacturers of the monitor are being vague
if any one knows of this type of monitor and digital connector have they
got
over the problem with a different graphics adapter card?
I don't really want to junk the flat screen as it works really well
I'm just worried that I'm having to use the default vga PCI XP drivers for
it and can see problems arising
thanks in advance
Mike
