Quick question, has anyone ran USB peripherals over CAT-5 cabling?

I quite fancy a fishtank cam, (as a slight change from my "heavenly
day CAM"

)
but it's too far from the nearest PC to run a USB cable straight....

thought I would poll the group before diving into PCWorld/M***** for a USB
extension cable to barbarise...
