The prototype just consisted of a addressable switch which would
close on instruction form the TMEX software to show the leg of the
network behind it, TMEX would then descover the devices on that leg
and close each other addressable switch it found to expose every
branch in the tree. I was useing the DS TMEX which was win software
only, there would be quite a lot of work in producing the same
results on a PIC or rabbit. You could put a small micro into each hub
that would descover only the branch upstream and store the details on
a touch memory also in the hub for transmitting back up the tree, but
this would mean more than just a onewire bus.
