Fine until you want notification of an instanteous response on the
GUI... Because you can't readily push data to a web browser, there
will will be an irritating/perceptible delay even if you refresh the
page very frequently.
There are various ways of circumventing this - perhaps using java
plugins etc. - but none of them is very straightforward.
