I’m not

I use HomeVision all the emitters are connected to this

And I DDE from the computer to HV

That way HV always knows what is happening

I have done quite a bit of work making a VB program to control HomeVision via DDE

To share this I see a few problems

It only really works on my system because it relies a lot on specific IR addresses and Macros

It has been an on going self taught development, and sometime the code shows this

Its starting point is Craig's DDE example script

I would be happy to share this but I'm not clear at present how

Although the SF group seems the obvious place

It present I have a layout of the house with the state of all the lights, temp in rooms, state of Central Heating and how many people upstairs

Also Remote controls of TiVo ,Sky, Radio, TV,  via IR and control of my Linn preamp via serial port

It all works for me , and I learnt a lot setting it up and none of it is that clever, but it works
