Subject: RE: [ukha_d] SCART
weirdness
Not
so weird really, if i remember correctly, often the second SCART is wired
differently from the first one. Not a huge problem if you have multiple
SCARTS
or if they are all "fully connected", I think I remember having this
problem on one or two sets. The answer is to use a SCART splitter box on
SCART
one or buy another set with all the SCARTS fully connected, trouble is you
often don't know this until you get the set home!
What
is unusual is that you are getting a picture at all, although this could be
crosstalk in the internals of the set, bet that in your manual for the set
it
says that SCART 1 is an AV input/output and that SCART 2 is an input only
for
a camcorder or DTV box.

Hi all,
Recently joined the group and hoped
someone here can offer some advice on the following problem.
I have recently moved my av gear into a
cupboard putting it some distance from my TV so I purchased 2 x 5m SCART
leads. When anything is hooked up to SCART 2 the picture is utter crap
(like
a badly tuned TV station), I mean it's just not watchable, however if I use
SCART 1 the picture is fine.
If the picture was bad regardless which SCART
socket was being used I would put it down to using 5m leads but it's
only SCART 2 that is a problem.
Incidentally, everything was ok when the gear
was under the TV.
Cheers
Justin
