I really don't think any discussions of anything that could lead to
commercial benefit should be discussed on Yahoo groups, purely & simply
because of their T&C's

Agreed, habuy wasn't created for this.

Yes, I object. Not because I'm not interested & don't think it belongs,
but
because doing so may jeapordise any future profits being made. Though how
litigous Yahoo would be remains to be seen yet.

Isn't this the only option? With occasional progress reports to the main
ukha
group?

I know I suggested a Sourceforge group in the past, and it was rejected
because of their policy of being open source only. If my understanding of
"Open" is correct, there are certain licenses available that use
the word
"free" to mean "freely available" there's no reason why
you can't make profit
from open source software.
