Colour Pronto - too expensive! Na, never ;o)

A good solution badly priced for what is, really, a colour I-Paq with an IR
and RF system.

Yeah but isn't the new colour Pronto £650ish?

This is horrendously expensive for what it is and I think that's going to
be
a very badly selling product compared to the Pronto which was a real giant
killer of a hardware solution. Sure, RF is a great feature and used with
seperate IR emitters will solve a number of problems (certainly any that I
have with my missus blocking IR) but if the colour Pronto is that expensive
then I'll be sticking with my monochrome one.

I've never found the lack of colour to be anywhere near as big a
"gripe" as
the lack of touchscreen "real estate" ... if for twice the price
of a
standard Pronto we had a monochrome screen that was a bit clearer but twice
the size then I'd have one in a shot but I'm afraid that a colour screen
that's the same size as the existing one leaves me stone cold.

Hence the love of ePods!
