"DDAR" accepts 100V-240V @ 50/60Hz 1.2A

So no stepdown !

Mark,

I have been looking into this and interestingly the DDAR is actually 
running
linux internally on an ARM processor.  Although I have yet to find the
exact
details I am guessing you could get away with an smb share from your
linux
box.  If you do find anything on the web please let me know as I have
tried
most search engines.

In case anyone is interested this is a rebadged sonicblue rio receiver
as
can be seen on riohome.com.  However thats selling for 300 USD so 140
UKP
sounds like a bargain to me.

As an aside I found out the audiotron is running CE which should cheer
the
cockles on all those windows fans out there ;-)
