Re: RE: DDAR bulk purchase

I do WANT to buy one, but as of right now I don't have any significant MP3
collection available to play on the beast. If I did I wouldn't hesitate at
the price. As I don't, and probably also need to invest in a new PC to
host
any such collection I found myself wondering how much it would cost to
import personally in the future. My first thoughts were that extra charges
(repackaging) were being incurred because of the size of your order and the
desire to avoid duty. Therefore, perhaps there was no significant
advantage
to the bulk purchase, especially as no discount was forthcoming from Dell.

After further investigation I could see that I was wrong and that shipping
was significantly more than I'd anticipated. The exchange rate is also
worse than when I last checked!

Perhaps if I'd explained my situation more clearly to start with .....

NOW. Suggestions please, I need the cheapest machine available that I can
stick a big disk in and use as an MP3 server. The old machines I've got
won't easily accept big disks (least not as a single partition).
