I think a lot of it is down to how they are used. According to Panasonic
technical there are some clever things going on in software to minimise the
possibility of burn in, but if abused, as it would be in an airport then
there's no way of totally eliminating it. I'm told that there is a way of
coping with the black bar problem, but as I tend to use it more for full
frame viewing than 2.35:1, I'm not too worried.
The only thing that slightly worries me, is that the cricket season is
about
to start, and Sky Digital insist on using "hard" dogs on the
sports
channels. 8 hours a day of watching for 5 days at a time will give it a
challenge, but if the worst comes to the worst it is covered by the
accidental damage clause on my household insurance :)
