I would say unscreened is perfectly OK.  The twisting of pairs provides a
degree of immunity to noise.  Keith's KAT5 modules use balanced line
drivers - so any noise is picked up on both cables which cancels out at the
other end.  I'm sure Keith and others can explain more eloquently, but KAT5
should work over 200m without too many problems, and possibly further.
