I use the DS1820 all over the house where ever there is a phone socket (using the spare cables) there is a temp sensor + a couple outside

Works a treat.

If you have HomeVision then just use CAT5 and those DS1820 (or is it 1280)
temperature probes. Stick 'em in a frost stat housing to make 'em look neat
and Bob's your aunties shagging piece...
