Keith,

Not closing the ECCENTRIC is fine. It's deemed to be closed at the end of
the document anyway. Closing it is merely a matter of style.

However, there was a more serious problem - All three of them should have
had the word MODE first. This means that the DTD definition for the MODE
operator only has to be written once, with three possible Arguments
implemented, namely NOSTALGIA, SERIOUS, and ECCENTRIC. The way you've
written it would involve creating three separate operators, each of which
had only one possible argument in this version. While I can see that you'd
want to pass the operator other arguments in later versions, I can't help
feel that this way would be better.

You will note that my default style sheet now incorporates a <MODE
LIGHTLYTAKETHEPISS>, which should be inherited into all my messages.

Regards,

Mark Harrison

<NOSTALGIA MODE>

I remember watching "JOE 90" duing the late 60's and wanting one
of those
machines that loaded your brain with new information :-)

</NOSTALGIA MODE>

<SERIOUS MODE>
I am experimenting with using iPaq as a Colour Pronto with feedback by
using
Active Server Pages, Access Databases and Pocket Internet Explorer. Wired
connection to the network at the moment but when fully developed I will get
wireless LAN cards for the iPaq.
</SERIOUS MODE>

<ECCENTRIC MODE>
and another thing......will have to buy a new colander....the old one has a
large spotlight inside as a DIY disco Lighting effect
<>

Note for Mr. Harrison and anyone else who comments on my dodgy XML
tags.....yes, I know I didnt close the ECCENTRIC tag, but I will always be
a
bit of an eccentric :-)

See you all tomorrow

Keith
