I use Win2000 Server and Outlook 2000 for email. I only use Outlook
occassionally on this pc since it is not my main pc, but I have never had a
problem. I have a dialup account, but usually am already connected before
started Outlook 2000. I have my Internet settings set to "Never
dial", so
Outlook never tries to dial if I am not connected. Maybe it's the
auto-dial
feature causing the problem? I guess you could disable the auto-dial
temporarily and see if the problem goes away.
