Title: RE: [ukha_d] VB control of CM12A
Andy,
I too tried to do this with VB but without success, the
prog could monitor the CM12 O/P but the CM12 did not respond to the
commands sent from VB .
Instead as a test I wrote some assembler and used an 8051
based microcontroller system to control (some of) the house via the CM12.
This works just fine using the microcontroller, but I still cannot get VB
to do this (I'm no programmer).
The CM12 seems to be the european version of the CM11 and
behaves exactly as described in the documentation cm11a_protocol.txt
available on the X10 web site.

Any one had any success with controlling a CM12A via VB (or
C for that
matter) ?
I've tried the .ocx from www.keware.com for both the CM11A
and the CM17A but
neither work. Is the CM12A different from these
other two (presumably)
American devices?
Cheers
Andy
