In fact, it has even nastier "protection" built in. the new
windows Secure
Audio Path stuff looks like it's intention is to rpevent you from listening
to music any way other than that prescribed by the RIAA.

They are talking about encrypted data streams right up to the sound card
fimware, so that only an analogue signal can be recorded.

I bet it's only a matter of time before they are touting the inablity to
pause or stop a song midway, to protect the artist's "right to
expression"

Still...... who are we walking wallets to complain, eh?
