Well, the BT guy called this morning dead on time at 8 AM having called 15minutes earlier on his way to make sure that I was in/up (kudos to the guy for that).

Perhaps it is policy to do that now once they pick up the call from their laptop. Perhaps Keith knows better but as I understand it, the engineers don't know where their next call is until they log on to the system to tell it that they are available. I had an 8am install for ADSL, and the guy did the same thing - called me to say he'd be arriving in 15 minutes. Just before he left, he fired up his laptop, logged in, got his next appointment, and called them. And I thought BT Customer Service was an oxymoron :)
