I never said anything about the *KIT* being crap ... I didn't expand on
things but it was the service and treatment that my parents (at the time as
it was they that bought the computer) received.

IIRC the name of the guy at Watford was Nasir Jessa (it seems to come to
mind when I remember the events) - we had a seemingly endless string of
correspondence because a ROM based application was faulty on receipt. It
was
quite some time before it was replaced.

Remember also that at the time it was PCs that were pretty much a
proprietry
closed design ... BBCs and Acorns dominated the UK computing scene (and we
were all amazed by Epson FX80 printers!) so we're not talking a niche
market
product.
