At the risk of offending you but using your exact words....
you're "talking bollocks" :-)

Lighting circuits only use single pole switching.

You are getting confused with the pull cord for the shower isolator. That
MUST be double pole. As far as I am aware, there is no such thing as a
double pole lighting pull switch.

Just checked the Clipsal site and they only have single pole.

One other thing occurs to me with modifying an existing bathroom pullswitch
- I may be completely wrong here, but don't the regs also state that the
bathroom pullswitch must be a double-pole one that switches both live &
neutral together?

If so, it's going to be a bit more difficult to fit an LD11 into the
picture, as the modification Keith mentioned would leave the neutral
connection open as well as the live, - so there's be no curcuit...

BTW, if I'm talking bollocks here, then just tell me!!
