Has any had a look at the Baycom OSCAR MP3 thingy at www.keene.co.uk ???

I quote:

Baycom OSCAR MP3 player.
At last, an mp3 player that's good enough to connect to your hi-fi. The
Baycom OSCAR (Optical Storage Compressed Audio Replay) is a superbly
constructed Hi-Fi quality audio device. It can play both conventional audio
CDs as well as MP3 CDs (which can store up to 12 hours of music). Not only
that, the Baycom is supplied complete with an internal 40GB hard drive
which
can store thousands of tracks!. You could quite feasibly transfer your
entire record collection into this one unit. A large, 4 line backlit
display
shows clear information on playlists, directories, sub-directories and
track
names with elapsed/remaining times. The single jog wheel allows easy
navigation of simple to use menus. It supports the popular m3u (winamp
style) playlist or you can easily create your own Ideal for home or office
and party or background applications.
Features at a glance:
All MPEG-Audio bit rates and sample rates (8-48 kHz, 8-320 kbit/s), (incl.
variable bit rate)
Line out and headphone output
Remote control (IR) included
RS-232 interface for PC control and software updates
High Quality CD-ROM drive (Toshiba)
3.5" IDE hard disk fitted as standard (10GB)
supports ISO9660/Joliet and FAT16/32 file systems for CD and HD
32 bit RISC processor and Micronas MAS3570D MPEG decoder
Variable play-back speed and fast cueing possible
Fast access to tracks using a rotary encoder, list of available titles
stored in internal RAM
Quiet switched mode power supply, 240V, (no noisy cooling fan)
Playlist support (m3u)
