I posted this message about 2 weeks ago ... it may help (GU10 are mains
halogen) ---

For those of you that are changing your ceiling roses to GU10 downlighters,
you know how expensive these can be - I saw one shop selling a single GU10
bulb for 10 quid.

Argos are currently selling three GU10 downlights + 4 bulbs (yes, one
spare) for 14.99 (see page 322/323 in latest cat)

Chrome finish - 430/7857 (special offer 12.99 till April)
Brass finish -430/7840
White finish - 430/7833

I have been running a set for 3 weeks without any problems on a non-X10
dimmer (I have not got round to installing the X10 yet)
