Hi Andy,

Chart info was designed in from the start but it will not be entered until
I
have most of my CD collection in there. I only want to go through the
Guinness Book once if I can help it.

I will select the artists in alphabetical order and list all their track
and
enter Chart Info.

It will be possible to search for a specific date eg 19-APR-1960 (The day I
popped into the world!), anything a hit on 02-AUG ANY YEAR or anything in
the chart above position 20 in June in the 1970's, etc.

Paging isnt currently implemented other than restricting the query to
returning the first 50 records. I envisage the search being powerful enough
to only return 3 or 4 titles for the query.

For instance TITLE "th" ARTIST "mi\ja" returns
"Thriller - Michael Jackson"
by typing 8 characters.

Record label is in there if you look at the CD info. More will follow but
the server currently restricts what I can do on it. At home I can do a lot
more, it even creates a text file listing which tracks I need to rip from a
CD.

Keith

Keith,

Pretty darned fantastic that! How about paging the results? It looks to me
like you've done a ton (or is
that tonne) of work on the info side... maybe we could setup an MP3DB with
info like you have - I'm talking the obvious info here like Artist, Track
etc but also the weeks, highest chart position, date, record label, CD
code (or is that the catalog number?) etc...
