I've used a Matrox Mystique with Rainbow Runner very successfully in the
past - for a 20 minute capture I might lose 1 or 2 frames.

My newer TNT2 card in comparison is really naff and loses frames all over
the place - very jerky - it seems to pause every 3-4 seconds.

It is important that your hard drives are defragmented first and it helps
if
you have more that one drive.
