For a good, free, but no binaries one, try http://news.cis.dfn.de/ You have to register with them, but it's a free service, and pretty reliable.
 
If you're after the binaries groups, then Clara is okay (http://www.claranews.com). They charge £25 a year for news access. I find Clara to be pretty good with binaries, very few missing parts - Even if retention time isn't too good (never is with binary groups though).
