I ended up going with a cheap 2 channel radio control set (intended for
use
with RC car) all I was wanting to do was have some control over a laser
light show so this ended up being perfect.

Elite Security Products do a mono and colour pan tilt dome camera very
cheap - no zoom or anything fancy, just a basic indoor type unit - can't
find a web site but when I saw them in operation, I thought it was not
worth
building your own for the price.
